Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Documentary Issuance Specialist to join our team at IDB Bank. As a key member of our trade finance team, you will be responsible for issuing, amending, and advising on letters of credit, as well as ensuring compliance with bank rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and process incoming letters of credit and amendments.
  • Prepare and enter new letters of credit and subsequent amendments on our automated system.
  • Effect transfers and assignment of proceeds under existing letters of credit.
  • Verify the accuracy and quality of completed transactions.
  • Process charges representing commissions due to the bank.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
  • Utilize our PC system to retrieve previously entered transactions.
  • Issue shipping guarantees and air releases as required.
  • Ensure that all work performed is in compliance with our department's operations manual, bank policies, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in letter credit import issuance.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits, as well as the ICC Publication and all subsequent revisions.
  • Excellent word processing and communication skills.
  • Ability to use a PC and our automated system.
Compensation and Benefits

The expected annual salary for this position is between $70,000 and $80,000 at the start of employment. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes eligibility for an annual bonus, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness program, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
