Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor at the pharmacy counter and over the phone.
  • Adhering to all relevant federal and state regulations, as well as the guidelines set forth by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Ensuring precise and timely prescription services by thoroughly reviewing prescriptions for accuracy and evaluating necessary components.
  • Providing valuable insights and guidance on medication interactions, potential side effects, dosages, and appropriate usage.
  • Advising customers on over-the-counter medications and health food products.
  • Processing sales transactions efficiently, including cash, credit, or debit payments.
  • Monitoring patient adherence to prescribed therapies to avoid misuse or harmful interactions.
  • Managing the procurement and storage of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records, including pharmacy files, patient profiles, inventory logs, and controlled substance registries.
  • Offering specialized support for patients managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and hypertension.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to assess and enhance the effectiveness of medication regimens.
  • Compounding and dispensing medications as per physician directives, ensuring accuracy in preparation.
  • Engaging in health promotion initiatives, including nutritional education and training on health monitoring devices.
  • Referring patients to other healthcare providers when necessary.
  • Developing and upholding protocols for the preparation, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceuticals in compliance with legal standards.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed by management. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age.
