Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Cambridge Health Alliance. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of cardiovascular non-invasive tests using advanced imaging techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct cardiovascular 2-D imaging, color flow, spectral display, continuous and pulsed wave Doppler tests
  • Perform exercise/pharmacologic stress, harmonics, and contrast imaging
  • Recognize adequate vs inadequate data collection and prepare preliminary reports for physician interpretation
  • Identify abnormalities and life-threatening findings, and report to physicians or nursing units as needed
  • Document notifications as part of Quality Improvement activities
  • Respond to emergencies and take appropriate action
  • Follow isolation and infection control procedures, and demonstrate knowledge of fire and safety procedures
  • Use computerized databases to generate reports and enter hospital charges
  • Act as a liaison with physicians and their staff to expedite procedures and results
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited diagnostic sonography program
  • BS preferred
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or registry eligible
  • BSL/CPR certification
  • One year experience in a hospital setting preferred
