Job Opportunity: Mechanical Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our team at Engineering & Inspection Services, LLC (EIS). As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in enhancing fixed equipment reliability and ensuring peak performance.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and reviewing equipment specifications and standards for reliability improvement. You will also assist the inspection department with Quality Control/Quality Assurance services and support Operations and maintenance by working on small projects, developing EWRs, and assisting with maintenance planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review equipment specifications and standards for reliability improvement
  • Assist the inspection department with Quality Control/Quality Assurance services
  • Support Operations and maintenance by working on small projects, developing EWRs, and assisting with maintenance planning
  • Generate Management of Change (MOC) Documents
  • Update unit records, tabulations, and drawings through the MOC Process
  • Support Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP)
  • Execute and implement MOC, PHA, and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) recommendations and audit findings
  • Develop basic engineering packages for improvement projects
  • Specify equipment according to standards and established practices prior to purchase
  • Develop weekly progress reports and the reliability engineering monthly report
Requirements
  • Be in good standing with DISA
  • Valid TWIC is required
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • 2 to 15 years of experience working in a refinery or chemical plant and/or with a consulting firm representing similar industries
Physical Requirements
  • Outside work often requires moderate physical exertion, including climbing scaffolding, kneeling, bending, taking field measurements, and walking projects
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
