Software Engineer for Financial Markets

A leading quantitative investment client is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join their Core Technology team. Our client team comprises researchers, engineers, and financial professionals dedicated to leveraging sophisticated statistical models to generate superior investment returns. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and scaling our client central infrastructure, contributing to both greenfield projects and enhancements of existing systems. You will work closely with team members and end users, reporting directly to the Co-CTOs, and have an immediate impact across the firm. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of innovation and quantitative analysis in systematic trading. You will gain exposure to various areas of the firm, including data, research, operations, and risk management.

Responsibilities:

* Develop efficient and scalable data and research infrastructure.
* Implement robust workflows for processing structured and unstructured financial datasets.
* Contribute to our client microservice-based infrastructure platform.
* Create web-based tools for internal teams and users.

Requirements:

* Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software engineering.
* Proficiency in Python with experience in designing infrastructure.
* Familiarity with relational databases and SQL is a plus.
