Audiologist Role at United States Air Force

Protecting ears and hearing is a critical aspect of our daily lives, especially for Airmen who are constantly exposed to noise that can cause harm. As an Audiologist with the United States Air Force, you will utilize the latest equipment and techniques to treat and safeguard Airmen and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive hearing and balance-related services to Airmen and their families
  • Utilize advanced equipment and techniques to diagnose and treat hearing and balance disorders
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Meet the minimum education and qualification requirements set by the Air Force, Department of Defense, and federal law
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in audiology (AuD or PhD)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and/or board certification in audiology from the American Board of Audiology (ABA)
  • Minimum 24 months of experience in audiology
  • Current unrestricted state license
  • Completion of Officer Training School course
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 42
