Job Title: Medical Assistant Cardiology

Intermountain Health is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our Cardiology team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in an ambulatory clinic setting.

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to our healthcare team. This includes preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records, scheduling appointments, and communicating with patients and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including taking vital signs and obtaining medical histories.
  • Assist healthcare providers with medical procedures, such as injections and wound care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient demographics, medical histories, and treatment plans.
  • Schedule appointments and communicate with patients and healthcare providers via phone and email.
  • Perform basic clerical duties, such as answering phones, filing documents, and ordering supplies.
Requirements:
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
  • Or current RN/LPN license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current national MA certification from one of the following national MA certifications or registrations: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) of AMT, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) of the AAMA.
  • Experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting.
Work Environment:

This position is located at the American Fork Clinic in American Fork, Utah. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
