Job Title: Medical Support Specialist

Join our team at BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., as a Medical Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide critical support to our plasma center operations, ensuring the highest level of customer service and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate donor reactions and respond accordingly, following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion, as well as medical history interviews and acceptance requirements.
  • Conduct physical examinations, blood testing, and review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results.
  • Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees, as applicable.
  • Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
  • Support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community, as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
  • Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
  • Satisfactorily complete the FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
  • Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
