Our objective is to maintain our buildings and shared spaces in optimal condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess facilities and repair mechanical systems to comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee the maintenance of electrical systems, including bulb replacements and circuit panel repairs.
  • Ensure heating and plumbing systems are functioning properly.
  • Inspect alarm systems and coordinate necessary repairs.
  • Carry out manual repairs as needed, such as fixing locks and replacing windows.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including landscaping and other assigned duties like painting and carpentry.

Essential Skills

  • Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician.
  • Fundamental knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and heating systems.
  • Familiarity with general maintenance processes and techniques.
  • Proficient in using tools and handling common appliances.
  • Strong manual dexterity and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptable and open to learning, with a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with various departments.
  • Exhibit tact, empathy, and sound judgment in interactions with residents and staff.
  • Physically fit and capable of climbing ladders as required.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and hygiene.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in long-term care settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and maintain clean work areas.

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, with potential variations in hours for urgent maintenance needs.
  • Compensation begins at $25.00 per hour.
