Job Overview

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the department Supervisor, the Masking Technician is tasked with the application of tape to various product components prior to the treatment with metal finishing chemicals. This role also involves the precise trimming of tape on parts utilizing a range of tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately identify, cut, and apply silicone or specialized masking tape as specified in work order documentation.
  • Efficiently handle parts, placing them on and off storage shelves as required.
  • Prepare components for shipment, ensuring proper packaging.
  • Maintain adherence to established safety protocols.
  • Execute additional assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow specific instructions.
  • Proficient in applying adhesive tape to various components.
  • Comfortable utilizing basic hand tools.
  • Ability to work in a chemical-laden environment.

ITAR Compliance:

This position is subject to ITAR regulations, requiring the employee to be classified as a U.S. person (either a U.S. citizen or a U.S. permanent resident).

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in environments with heat, noise, and chemical fumes.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
