Job Summary

Therapeutic Alternatives is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Day Program Paraprofessional to join our team. As a Day Program Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a day program setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with daily living skills, socialization, leisure, and recreational activities, educational, and vocational skills.
  • Implement individualized Person-Centered Plans, promoting independence and skill development.
  • Document services provided, including observations, consumer participation, and progress.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including confidentiality and data protection.
  • Collaborate with Qualified Professionals and Associate Professionals to ensure high-quality care and support.
  • Participate in mandatory staff meetings and consumer conferences.
  • Complete all required training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 25 years old.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable level of automobile liability insurance.
  • Three years of driving experience.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and follow directions.
  • No substantiated findings on the NC Health Care Abuse Registry.
  • Meet SBI and DMV requirements of LME/MCO contracts.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
