Position Overview

The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, and community partners to enhance our mission of improving the lives of individuals affected by mental health challenges.

Organizational Background

Thrive Behavioral Health, located in Rhode Island, provides a wide array of evidence-based, person-centered services to individuals impacted by mental illness, addiction, or trauma. Our organization is a result of a merger between two established mental health service providers, and we are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Thrive is committed to trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practices, serving a diverse population across the state.

Key Responsibilities

The CEO will be responsible for:

1. Implementing the strategic vision and policies set forth by the Board of Directors.
2. Managing the organization's operations to ensure accessible and coordinated services.
3. Overseeing all program operations and making executive-level employment decisions.
4. Delegating authority to staff while maintaining accountability for organizational performance.
5. Collaborating with external organizations to enhance service delivery and community engagement.
6. Negotiating partnerships and joint ventures to expand service offerings.
7. Ensuring financial sustainability and compliance with regulations.
8. Leading the executive team in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
9. Fostering a culture of collaboration and unity among staff and programs.
10. Building and maintaining relationships with funders and stakeholders.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

- A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a senior role within a community mental health setting.
- Exceptional communication and public speaking skills.
- A strong ability to inspire and motivate staff and community partners.
- Knowledge of mental health policies and advocacy.
- A proven track record in team building and management.
- A commitment to person-centered and recovery-oriented care.

Education

A relevant advanced degree is preferred, with a focus on nonprofit management, social work, or psychology being advantageous.

Compensation

The CEO will receive a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. The salary range is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
