Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at the VA Hospital in Seattle, WA. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines
Requirements
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in the Emergency Department
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced emergency department environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
