Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at the VA Hospital in Seattle, WA. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, and contributing to the overall success of our department.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in emergency nursing.
Requirements
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • At least 2 years of prior RN experience, preferably in the Emergency Department.
