Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of CT scans, while providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confirm Patient Identification and Imaging Procedures: Verify patient information, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as needed.
  • Interpret Doctor's Instructions: Correctly interpret written instructions from physicians to ensure accurate imaging procedures.
  • Position Patients for Scanning: Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies, ensuring optimal image quality.
  • Operate CT Equipment: Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
  • Administer Radiocontrast Agents: Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
  • Evaluate CT Scans: Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
  • Maintain Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize McKesson PACS System: Understand and effectively use the McKesson PACS system to manage and retrieve patient images.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Certifications: AART National certification with registration in computed tomography, and state-specific licensing when required.
  • Skills: Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
