Position Overview
The Procurement Coordinator, also known as the Government Support Specialist, is responsible for managing and assisting with a variety of functions within the Government Support team. Key responsibilities encompass order processing, administrative tasks related to orders, and conducting parts research.
Core Responsibilities
- Facilitate order entry and administration processes.
- Review and analyze solicitations for procurement.
- Gather pricing information and lead times for required parts.
- Document and implement efficient processes.
- Handle invoicing for contracts and perform credit card transactions.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to U.S. Government clients and distributors.
Essential Skills
Hard Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience in order entry and administration.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Baan.
- Understanding of contracts and government terminology is advantageous.
Soft Skills:
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with management, legal teams, and various departments.
- Excellent documentation and process auditing capabilities.
- Effective communication and follow-up skills.
Job Type
This role is categorized as a Contract-to-Hire position.
