Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager or Maintenance Supervisor, the Custodial Services Specialist provides essential custodial services to maintain a clean and healthy environment within and around Lucas County, Ohio buildings.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide all necessary custodial services to maintain a clean and healthy environment within and around county-owned buildings.
  • Clean offices, including:
    • Wash mirrors, doors, door glass, and radiator
    • Dust blinds, furniture, and fixtures
    • Sweep and mop floors daily
    • Vacuum all carpeted areas daily
    • Empty wastebaskets and replace liners as needed
    • Wash wastebaskets as needed
    • Dust and clean books, bookcases, and bookshelves
    • Disinfect door handles and phones
  • Clean bathrooms, including:
    • Replace tissues, paper towels, and sanitary napkins as needed
    • Fill soap dispensers as needed
    • Clean all fixtures, mirrors, and partitions
    • Empty wastebaskets and replace liners
    • Sweep and mop floors
    • Clean walls
    • Disinfect door handles and latches
  • Perform custodial duties at all other County-owned buildings within the control and responsibility of the Lucas County Commissioners.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • Equipment, cleaning products, and other materials used in custodial services
