Job Summary:
Dimension Hospitality is seeking a highly skilled Rooms Controller to lead our Guest Service team. As a key member of our Front Office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while ensuring the smooth operation of our room inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room Blocking and Pre-Registration: Block and pre-register suites and rooms in the Property Management System (PMS) according to guest requests, ensuring timely and accurate reservations.
- Front Desk Support: Provide support to front desk staff, including management, on oversells, challenges, special accommodations, and other issues that may arise.
- Room Protects: Perform room protects during sold-out periods to ensure that rooms blocked for future arrivals are protected.
- Reservation Verification: Verify reservations listed on group resumes and tour resumes to ensure accuracy in the PMS system.
- Daily Business Review: Attend the Daily Business Review meeting to stay informed about business trends, new bookings, and changes to current bookings.
- Billing and Authorization: Verify billing details for third-party, group blocks, credit card authorizations, and other transactions.
- Guest Service: Promptly answer telephone calls, handle guest requests and problems, and delegate special requests to appropriate persons or departments.
- Documentation and Follow-up: Document guest situations requiring action by another department and follow up as needed.
- Out-of-Order Rooms: Maintain out-of-order and out-of-service rooms with Engineering and Housekeeping.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma required.
- Experience: Minimum 6 months of experience in a hotel rooms division.
Salary Range: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour
