We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Texas Oncology. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with cancer and blood disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients, adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.
- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care, including scheduling consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments.
- Triages patient phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in the patient's chart.
- Acts as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains current knowledge of oncology nursing by participating in ongoing educational opportunities.
- Completed graduation from an accredited program for professional nursing education within three years prior to January 2025.
- RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state is required by end of residency program in order to be hired on into a permanent position.
