Oncology Nurse Specialist

Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking a highly skilled Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals with cancer and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cancer, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Conduct patient education and counseling on cancer treatment options, side effects, and self-care techniques.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or Compact RN license.
- Two years of experience in oncology nursing or a related field.
- Current BLS certification and Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy certificate.
