Job OverviewThis Registered Professional Nurse position offers a rewarding opportunity to work in acute care, where you will diagnose and treat patients' responses to health problems. You will coordinate care with other disciplines, delegate tasks, and supervise nursing personnel.
Responsibilities- Evaluate patient assessment data to establish nursing diagnoses and prioritize patient needs.
- Develop individualized plans of care based on patient assessments, using realistic measurable outcomes and timeframes for goal achievement.
- Deliver patient care as outlined in the plan of care and evaluate patient response to interventions.
- Assign patient care tasks to non-RN staff members and observe their care.
- Evaluate patient care and assess outcome achievement, utilizing input from the healthcare team, including the patient/family.
- Communicate the patient's plan of care to all members of the healthcare team and document in the medical record.
- Graduate of accredited RN program required.
- Current licensure in NYS or eligibility for limited permit to practice required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; candidates without a BSN will be required to start a program within 2 years of hire and complete by year 6 of employment.
- A minimum of 1 year of acute care experience preferred.
- Current BLS required.
- Current certification in ACLS, PALS, and NRP may be required depending on unit scope.
The salary range for this position is $37.54-$53.18 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Pay is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
