Position Overview

Masis Professional Group is seeking qualified candidates for a direct placement opportunity as a 3rd Shift Molding Supervisor. This role is pivotal in overseeing the daily operations within the molding department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate effective communication with preceding and succeeding Shift Supervisors, Technicians, and Engineers on a daily basis.
  • Maintain authoritative control over the molding floor operations.
  • Verify daily production metrics across all machines to ensure optimal product output.
  • Collaborate with the Molding Lead Operator to efficiently allocate personnel to machinery for enhanced production efficiency.
  • Utilize Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) systems to monitor machine parameters and implement necessary process improvements.
  • Ensure that machine set-ups are executed safely and promptly.
  • Initiate molding machines only after all setup procedures are completed, including verification and Quality Department approval.
  • Address any Quality Department concerns regarding manufactured products and work alongside Technicians and Engineers to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Technicians to establish repair timelines and prioritize tasks based on production needs.
  • Engage with Toolroom staff to address ongoing tool-related issues and ascertain tool availability for production.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of each machine at least three times per shift, addressing any identified issues immediately.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and ensure that all team members are informed of documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with Engineers and Technicians to continuously enhance knowledge of best practices in injection molding and automation.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and organization of manufacturing areas, ensuring proper equipment storage.
  • Adhere to and provide guidance on ISO-9001, ISO-13485, company policies, and safety protocols to safeguard personnel and company assets.
  • Support and uphold the corporate mission, values, and policies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required; a degree or trade school certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in injection mold setup and processing is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role within manufacturing is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Basic proficiency in reading part and tool drawings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with standard measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.) is preferred.
  • Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a standard 40-hour work week with potential for overtime, including weekends.
  • Capability to sit or stand for extended periods and walk within the facility.
  • Visual acuity with or without corrective lenses, including the ability to distinguish color differences and depth perception.
  • Auditory ability to hear and respond to alarms from a distance.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Successful completion of auditory screening.
