Speech-Language Pathologist for Exceptional Children

The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School District is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As an Itinerant Speech and Language Therapist for Special Education, you will play a critical role in assisting students with special communicative needs to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized education plans to support students with speech and language delays or impairments.
Provide direct therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques to promote effective communication.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in speech-language pathology, applying this knowledge to inform your practice and improve student outcomes.
Requirements
A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a valid North Carolina teaching license as a Speech-Language Pathologist are required. Experience working with students with special needs is highly desirable.
Working Conditions
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel between school sites. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
