About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team at Charles River Community Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our pharmacy team in the preparation, billing, and dispensing of prescription and OTC medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and accommodate patient needs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications while maintaining productivity and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain patient records and prescription information using our pharmacy computer system.
  • Perform duties in an accurate, timely, knowledgeable, thorough, and complete manner.
  • Answer telephone calls in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements
  • Active MA Pharmacy Technician Registration or MA Pharmacy Intern license.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to work different schedules to meet the needs of the pharmacy and organization.
  • Demonstrate competent working knowledge of pharmacy claims adjudication.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Must be adaptable and willing to learn new responsibilities.
Preferred Requirements
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed by passing the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam or Current MA Pharmacy Intern Registration.
  • Prior recent experience (1-2 years) in a retail community setting.
  • Knowledge of 340B Drug Pricing Program.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel to Waltham and Brighton locations in accordance with staffing needs.
