Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Training

Charles River Community Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician in Training to join our dynamic team. As a Pharmacy Technician in Training, you will assist the pharmacy team in the preparation, billing, and dispensing of prescription and OTC medications to our patients. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and accommodate patient needs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications while maintaining productivity, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Enter prescription data into data processing software, take stock bottles from the shelf for prescriptions, reconstitute prescriptions, label prescription containers, prepare unit-dose, modified unit-dose, and medication cards, and make the offer to counsel under the direction and supervision of the pharmacist on duty.
- Maintain patient records and prescription information using a pharmacy computer system.
- Answer telephone calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Pharmacy leadership.
Requirements:
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician in Training registration required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish highly preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work different schedules to meet the needs of the pharmacy and organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks.
- High level of integrity and transparency.
- Ability to maintain a high volume of consistent work that is detailed, accurate, and complete.
