Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Team Member to join our team at Hannaford Supermarkets. As a Bakery Team Member, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of baked goods, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of baked goods, including mixing, baking, and decorating.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist in the training of new team members and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines.
  • Participate in inventory management, including ordering and stocking of supplies and ingredients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with baking and decorating techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
