Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Inpatient Systems Analyst/Epic Orders to join our team at South Shore Health. This role will play a crucial part in supporting and maintaining the hospital's information systems, with a focus on Epic Orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to end-users and troubleshoot application-related issues.
  • Ensure the seamless operation of critical healthcare applications.
  • Develop and maintain functional and technical software specifications.
  • Analyze end-user department workflows, data collection, and reports details.
  • Design, validate, and confirm new or changed functionality with the Epic environment.
  • Ensure the availability and efficiency of application processing, documentation, and maintenance.
  • Access data from existing systems and produce formatted reports.
  • Work with Epic and other healthcare-related applications to ensure they meet the organization's needs.
  • Proactively complete assigned software application deployment, management, and testing tasks.
  • Build, test, and debug Epic and other related software applications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical Information Systems, Informatics, Information Technology, or sciences.
  • Progressive healthcare industry experience, preferably in a hospital or major medical center clinical setting.
  • Experience with clinical hospital software and/or hardware technology, or implementing clinical systems applications.
  • Proficient knowledge of and ability to employ systems analysis concepts, software quality assurance and testing concepts, techniques, industry best practices, tools, and standards.
