Job Title: Maintenance Repairer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Repairer to join our team at Rise Baking Company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment and building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with plant equipment, including mechanical drive systems, HVAC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with plant equipment, including wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, electrical installations, transformers, motors, and AC/DC motor drives.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform building maintenance and repairs, including air conditioning, lights, and forklifts.
  • Repair equipment to prevent long-term downtime until permanent repairs can be completed.
  • Fabricate replacement parts or equipment as needed.
  • Electronically troubleshoot 24 Volt control circuits.
  • Report food safety and quality issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 2-year degree in electronics/maintenance mechanics or 5+ years in maintenance mechanic role.
  • Experience with repair or preventive maintenance in hydraulics, pneumatics, machine shop, electricity, or electronics.
  • Advanced knowledge of CMMS.
  • Working knowledge of lockout/tagout programs.
  • Working knowledge of boiler operations.
  • Experience with ammonia, freon, or other cooling media.
  • Advanced stick and tig welding skills; ability to weld to sanitary standards.
  • Intermediate computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts to identify solutions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Compensation: 32-41 Hourly Wage
