Instructor, Process Technology Program

The Process Technology (PTAC) adjunct instructor reports to the Business and Technology Department Chair or designee. The PTAC adjunct instructor's duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Classroom and lab instruction of safety, quality, equipment, operations, and troubleshooting.
- Providing professional leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum.
- Participating in professional development activities.
- Maintaining inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Working with the various administrative functions of the college.
Teaching assignment may include day and evening classes. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsFive years of recent experience in the field or relevant teaching experience. An Associate degree in a relevant field is preferred, but employment and/or teaching experience may possibly be substituted for a portion of the education requirement.
- Ability to understand the teaching and evaluation methodologies used in the total instructional process.
- Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff members in a professional manner.
- Must demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to clearly communicate.
Must comply with established College rules and procedures.
Preferred QualificationsA combination of an Associate's degree from an accredited college plus a minimum of three years of recent experience in the field.
Essential Job Functions- Educate students using accepted and approved instructional methodology.
- Teach courses as assigned, instruct, and evaluate students.
- Participate regularly in professional development activities.
- Assess, update, and maintain program curriculum.
- Recruit students.
- Complete administrative responsibilities by given deadlines.
