ASARCO LLC is seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of mobile mining equipment in a shop and field environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Safely maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mobile mining equipment, including haul trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, and other heavy equipment.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mobile support equipment, including forklifts, diesel trucks, and pick-up trucks.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance in the maintenance shop or in the field.
  • Execute, support, and enforce the Company's Environmental, Health, and Safety program.

**Requirements**

  • Thorough knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and air conditioning systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Possess necessary hand tools to perform job requirements.
  • Ability to lift moderately heavy objects, climb, and stand for extended periods.

**Education and Experience**

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Minimum of two years' journeyman experience in mining or other comparable heavy equipment environment.
  • A/C certification a plus.
