Job Summary

Versar Global Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bridge Maintenance Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of bridges and other infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on bridges and other infrastructure assets, including cleaning stormwater drainage structures and performing concrete structural repairs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of maintenance technicians in performing maintenance and repair tasks, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of equipment, including edgers, gators, blowers, dump trailers, chain saws, line trimmers, and forklifts.
  • Logistics and Administration: Manage work orders, logs, and other administrative tasks related to maintenance and repair activities.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance and repair activities are performed in a safe and compliant manner, and that all necessary safety protocols are followed.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and 3-5 years of experience in roadway and bridge operations, construction, utilities, and landscaping.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Possess a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and good oral and written communication skills.
  • Certifications and Training: Obtain a MOT certificate (coursework and certification paid for by Versar), and complete any necessary training and certifications.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to varying weather conditions and potential hazards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CDL A License: Possess a CDL A license, and experience operating heavy equipment.
  • MOT Certified: Be MOT certified, and have experience in maintenance and repair activities.
  • Agricultural Pesticide Applicator's License: Possess an agricultural pesticide applicator's license, and have experience in landscaping and maintenance activities.

Location

The position will be based in Miami, FL, and will require frequent travel to various locations throughout the region.
