MEP Superintendent Job Description

The MEP Superintendent plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of mechanical, electrical, and control systems construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage equipment procurement processes to meet project timelines.
  • Develop and maintain MEP critical path schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Track and coordinate critical path construction activities to minimize delays.
  • Oversee equipment deliveries and ensure they meet project requirements.
  • Review and approve mechanical and electrical submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and design teams to resolve MEP-related conflicts and issues.
  • Implement and manage quality control processes for MEP systems construction to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Manage the startup and pretesting of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure they meet project requirements.
  • Coordinate and support third-party commissioning activities to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Manage commissioning documentation to ensure accurate and complete records.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 4 years of experience in mechanical or electrical system construction.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and schedule MEP activities effectively.
  • Preconstruction and equipment procurement experience.
