Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at Indiana University School of Medicine. As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will be responsible for initiating, conducting, and completing clinical studies/trials in various therapeutic areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate pre-study site visits of sponsors, participate in study start-up activities, and assist with recruitment.
  • Conduct study visits, complete IRB submissions, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Enter data into sponsor-specified systems, assist study monitors during site monitoring visits, and complete study close-out.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems that impact the timely and accurate conduct of clinical research.
  • Assess and evaluate patient conditions, initiate emergency measures as necessary, and intervene appropriately in crisis situations.
  • Provide independent professional care through the application of standing orders.
  • Maintain personal and patient safety with attention to bloodborne pathogens, sterility, and other safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Science in Nursing.
  • 3 years of nursing experience, with 1 year experience as an RN in an outpatient or specialty setting.
  • Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana upon date of hire.
  • ACRP or SOCRA Clinical Research Certification upon date of hire.
Working Conditions

This role requires sedentary work as well as extended durations of moving about the workplace. The ability to move objects and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, and the ability to discern between various objects and devices and to position patients is required.
