Job Title: Drug Utilization Review Specialist

At destinationone Consulting, we are seeking a highly skilled Drug Utilization Review Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in pharmacy and a passion for improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of medication use patterns to identify potential safety issues and optimize therapy.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to educate providers on best practices for medication use and develop strategies to improve medication safety and adherence.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to promote safe and effective medication therapy.
  • Analyze prescribing patterns and provide feedback to healthcare providers on medication therapy management.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or equivalent experience.
  • Licensure as a pharmacist in the relevant province or state.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with healthcare providers and stakeholders.
