Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician will be responsible for leading and performing complex maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and overseeing maintenance projects to minimize downtime, increase equipment reliability, and support production goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Performs routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to CNC machines, conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other production machinery.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Oversees and assists with equipment repairs and adjustments to minimize downtime.
  • Provides guidance and technical expertise to maintenance technicians and junior staff.
  • Coordinates and prioritizes maintenance tasks, ensuring that critical equipment is operational, and resources are efficiently utilized.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality control, to address maintenance-related issues and improve overall manufacturing processes.
  • Plans and executes maintenance projects, including machine upgrades, installations, and modifications.
  • Manages project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion.
  • Maintains accurate records of project details and maintenance activities.
  • Adheres to all safety procedures and guidelines, promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
  • Ensures that all maintenance activities comply with relevant industry regulations and company policies.
  • Participates in safety audits and supports the implementation of safety improvements.
  • Maintains an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.
  • Reorders and restocks supplies as needed to prevent disruptions in maintenance activities.
  • Keeps detailed records of equipment maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and equipment manuals.
  • Generates reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and reliability.
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficient in using maintenance software and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Technical certification, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and/or sitting and reaching with hands and arms.
  • May occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 80 pounds at a time.
  • Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces, if necessary.
  • Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, or on-call as needed.
