Our main campus, UCI Medical Center, is a 459-bed acute care hospital that offers a range of services, including cancer care, high-risk perinatal/neonatal care, and trauma care.
Your Role on the Team
We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a safe and effective manner. Your responsibilities will include data collection, care appropriate to the age of the patients served, and Nursing Assistant interventions. You will also play a key role in ensuring excellent customer satisfaction to our patients.
What It Takes to be Successful
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will also need to be able to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload and establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System. Additionally, you will need to be able to demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job and possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of one year of acute care experience. You will also need to possess a current AHA Provider Basic Life Support certification and a current Nursing Assistant Certificate or be a currently enrolled Nursing Student who has successfully completed the first semester of an RN Program (ADN or BSN). In lieu of experience, consideration will be made for staff with strong education and associated experiential background.
