The Glendale Post Acute Center is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our facility.
Key Responsibilities- Provide routine daily nursing care to residents in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
- Ensure that all nursing care is provided in a private and respectful manner.
- Monitor and record vital signs, dress wounds, and perform other nursing tasks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to address questions and concerns.
- Perform accurate and detailed charting of resident progress notes and timely reporting of changes in condition.
- Assist and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and ensure that equipment is in good working order.
- Monitor residents at risk for falls and collect lab samples as needed.
- Abide by all facility policies and procedures, including infection control and confidentiality protocols.
- Completion of LVN training from an accredited school or college.
- Valid LVN license in good standing.
- Valid CPR and BLS certification.
- IV certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year of skilled nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
- Ability to use a computer or tablet to enter resident data.
- May encounter frequent interruptions and be involved with residents, family, and government agencies.
- May be requested to work beyond scheduled working hours at times.
- Is subject to call back during emergency conditions.
- May be exposed to odors, dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoke, or air contaminants.
- May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc.
