Licensed Vocational Nurse

At Cambridge HS, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide routine daily nursing care to residents, adhering to facility standards and supervisor directions.
- Ensure all nursing care is provided in a private and respectful manner.
- Monitor and record vital signs, dress wounds, and perform other essential nursing tasks.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to address concerns and provide support.
- Accurately document resident progress notes and report any changes in condition to supervisors.
- Supervise and assist Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) as needed.
- Ensure equipment is in good working order and monitor residents at risk for falls.
- Collect lab samples and adhere to infection control policies.
- Attend annual facility in-service training programs and complete other assignments as requested.
- Completion of LVN training from an accredited school or college.
- Valid LVN license in good standing.
- Valid CPR and BLS certification.
- IV certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year of skilled nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
- Proficiency in using computers or tablets to enter resident data.
As an LVN at Cambridge HS, you may encounter frequent interruptions, work with residents, families, and government agencies, and be requested to work beyond scheduled hours. You may be exposed to odors, dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoke, or air contaminants, and may be subjected to infectious waste, diseases, or hazardous chemicals.
Physical Requirements:You must be able to move intermittently throughout the day, work throughout the nursing areas, and lift up to 25 pounds. Lifting more weight requires assistance. You must also be able to read fine print on tablets, progress notes, and medical labels.
