Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Solar Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project(s) from an office location and/or remote project site, focusing on safety, contract, schedule, budget, customer satisfaction, costs, and quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project(s) from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with regional operations management and preconstruction to develop detailed project budgets.
  • Monitor and report on project financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with associate project managers, site engineers, and site managers to ensure proper utilization of site resources.
  • Lead project meetings, provide summary reports, and input to Program Director.
  • Ensure accurate and adequate project records.
  • Quote, award, and coordinate subcontractors as needed.
  • Support vendor selection and procurement.
  • Review and approve timecards submitted.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or similar degree program preferred.
  • Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM) certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
  • Six Sigma and/or Lean certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of project management and/or construction supervisory experience in solar, electrical, mechanical construction, and/or substation construction experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with effective time management and prioritization.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards.
  • Experience using project scheduling software such as MS-Project, Primavera P6, or other related industry scheduling tools.
  • Understanding of contracts, plans, and specifications.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Familiarity with Local code, AHJ standards, and NEC code, NFPA 70E Certification (preferred).
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations (required), OSHA training and certifications (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work long and/or extended hours, including weekends, with frequent travel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and telephone.
  • Close vision abilities required due to computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting/carrying of 25 lbs may be required.
  • Reaching overhead or below.
  • Work environment may include moderate noise (business office with computers, phones, printers, light traffic).
  • Ability to work in a confined area.
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
