Job Summary

Cedar Point is seeking a highly skilled Ride Controls Supervisor to lead the controls team in maintaining and troubleshooting ride and attraction control systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems, as well as experience with PLC programming and various hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the controls team in monitoring, maintenance, and repair of ride and attraction control systems.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed fully and professionally, including preventative maintenance checklists prior to ride operation.
  • Supervise subordinate crew members, providing training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Analyze ride/attraction reliability to develop and implement short- and long-range maintenance plans.
  • Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting ride and attraction control systems during the operating season.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and safe operating condition of all assigned equipment.
  • Conduct safety meetings and safety inspections of equipment.
  • Hire candidates for open positions to effectively grow the assigned team.
  • Assist in preparing department budget and ordering parts and materials as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or vocational degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in industrial electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to use meters, gauges, measuring devices, PLC programming software, and various hand and power tools.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory drug test and background check.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
