Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Patient Access Representative, you will be responsible for greeting and registering patients, verifying insurance benefits, and communicating with patients, physicians, and hospital colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Registration and Verification: Register patients in a courteous and professional manner, verify insurance benefits, and check for pre-certification, authorization, and referral requirements.
- Customer Service: Provide professional, quality customer service, timely resolution to customer problems, and coordination of services to all customers.
- Communication: Communicate revenue cycle-related issues to patients, physicians, physician office staff, and other hospital colleagues.
- Teamwork: Rotate into various areas of patient access and work a variety of shifts to support the team.
Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalency; Associate degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum one year experience in insurance verification and medical office/hospital customer service.
