The Director of Perioperative Services is a key leadership position at Trinity Health, responsible for providing nursing leadership that supports and operationalizes the Trinity Health mission at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. This role requires a strong focus on quality patient care, operational planning, and analysis to ensure efficient surgical scheduling and patient throughput.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing operational planning and analysis to support the Trinity Health mission.
- Ensure quality patient care is delivered according to the nursing process.
- Assure efficiency of daily operations, including disciplined execution of activities to optimize surgical scheduling and patient throughput.
- Manage clinical and administrative policies, practices, and processes.
- Work with the Chief Nursing Officer to attract and develop a team of highly capable, committed nursing leaders and staff.
Requirements:
- BSN required.
- Master's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of PA.
- BLS certification.
- Certification in area of practice preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five (5) to Ten (10) years progressive clinical experience.
- Minimum Five (5) years management experience preferred.
- Experience managing in a union environment required.
