Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images of the human body. Your expertise will help diagnose diseases and injuries, and your attention to detail will ensure patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images of the human body
  • Prepare patients for procedures by providing clear instructions and answering questions
  • Position patients according to established protocols to ensure accurate imaging
  • Assume responsibility for patient safety, mental, and physical comfort
  • Select software options and imaging parameters on the MRI machine
  • Initiate patient IVs and administer oral and IV contrast material
  • Recognize changes in patient status and communicate with nurse and/or physician
  • Provide documentation of individual patient care
  • Perform daily quality assurance and quality control protocols
  • Anticipate and recognize safety hazards and intervene as necessary
  • Adhere to department policies and provide quality care in accordance with office policies and procedures
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with co-workers, patients, radiologists, and other employees
  • Exhibit professional and ethical judgment and critical thinking to problem-solve, prioritize, and evaluate patient care activities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree in radiologic technology
  • Completion of an MRI technology certificate program
  • Registration or registry eligibility in Magnetic Resonance through ARRT
  • Two years of clinical experience preferred
Work Environment

This is a permanent part-time role based at our Greenville (Arlington) location, with a schedule of Tuesday - Thursday, 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Extra hours may be required to ensure patient care, tasks are completed, and calls are returned in a timely manner. Weekend work is rare but can occasionally be necessary.
