Position Overview:

The Identity Management Engineer plays a crucial role within the Cyber Security Engineering division, focusing on the development of automated solutions for user provisioning and de-provisioning on a global scale. This team is dedicated to creating and maintaining robust systems for managing fine-grained entitlements across various platforms within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple engineering projects, including the development of Java clients, services, and SailPoint IdentityIQ workflows to fulfill user provisioning needs.
  • Clearly articulate Citi's user provisioning lifecycle and architecture to stakeholders.
  • Conduct technical demonstrations for application teams regarding the provisioning framework.
  • Apply knowledge of SailPoint user provisioning and entitlement management as required.
  • Engage in critical thinking to identify process improvements and question inconsistencies.
  • Adhere to the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC), which encompasses peer code reviews, effective code repository management, and secure coding practices.
  • Maintain organized tracking of engineering tasks and efforts using JIRA.
  • Document engineering artifacts for each project, including release notes and test case details.
  • Work independently on assigned projects while raising concerns when necessary.
  • Provide and receive constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Actively participate in all required meetings and discussions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development.
  • Familiarity with Object-Oriented Concepts and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Experience with SOAP Web Services and frameworks such as JSF, Spring, or Struts.
  • Knowledge of application integration using BPM, BPEL, or ESB.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Linux environments.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ is preferred.
  • Understanding of PKI Cryptography.

Essential Competencies:

  • Ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical team members in a global context.
  • Demonstrated perseverance and follow-through on tasks.
  • Experience in systems analysis, software design, and development with a focus on Java.
  • Proficiency in Java, J2EE, SQL, and web services (SOAP and REST).
  • Familiarity with J2EE web application frameworks and component-based architectures.
  • Experience integrating various applications and components through web services or custom APIs.
  • Knowledge of enterprise systems such as SSO, LDAP, and Active Directory.
  • Understanding of secure programming practices and PKI security concepts.
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
