The Early Childhood Educator is responsible for the creation, execution, and maintenance of age-appropriate educational programs that adhere to Project Construct Indicators, Developmentally Appropriate Practices, and Accreditation Standards. This role requires a deep understanding of each child's unique needs as well as the dynamics of the group.

The educator will facilitate each child's integration into the group, providing opportunities for them to build their own understanding through exploration and play. The role includes ensuring effective staff-child interactions and appropriately coordinating activities. Adaptations will be made as necessary to accommodate each child's individual learning style, fostering a positive and respectful relationship with all children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the assigned classroom, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Perform all duties in alignment with our Mission, Values, and Service Standards.

Qualifications:

Teacher I:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: Must be registered with the State of MO Family Care Safety Registry within 15 days of hire.
  • Preferred Experience: 1 year of child care experience preferred, especially in early childhood settings.

Teacher II:

  • Education: CDA, 9 college credit hours, Associate's Degree, or a degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
  • Licensure: Must complete at least 12 clock hours of approved child-care related training annually.
  • Experience: None required.
  • Certifications: None required.
  • Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Preferred Experience: Two years of experience with a degree preferred.

Teacher III:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or a combination of relevant coursework and experience.
  • Experience: 1 year of relevant childcare experience.
  • Certifications: Must be registered with the State of MO Family Care Safety Registry within 15 days of hire.
