Job Title: Shop Trailer Mechanic I

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is seeking a skilled Shop Trailer Mechanic I to join our team. As a Shop Trailer Mechanic I, you will be responsible for performing DOT inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, light repairs, and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance inspections on trailers
  • Conduct light repairs and maintenance on trailers
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of trailer equipment and systems
  • Work with the service writer to assess customer needs and provide information or assistance
  • Manage concurrent assigned tasks and prioritize work-related activities and time allocations
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years' experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment or within 72 hrs of hire
  • Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties
Preferred Certifications:
  • ASE T8 (PMI) certification
  • ASE 608/609 certification
