LPN Charge Nurse Job Description

At National Church Residences, we are seeking a skilled LPN Charge Nurse to join our team at Portage Trail Senior Living Campus in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents and ensuring the smooth operation of our nursing team.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct nursing care in compliance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Make observations, report and record observations, and form nursing judgments to carry out nursing actions.
  • Follow established standards of nursing practices and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Perform daily rounds, develop and implement comprehensive care plans, and pass medications and treatments as needed.
  • Supervise and assign nursing assistants, document and correct poor performance, and participate in performance evaluations.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, peers, families, managers, and visitors, and provide exemplary customer service.
  • Document resident information timely, accurately, and confidentially, and adhere to guidelines outlined in the Resident Rights documentation.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures related to safety and compliance, and ensure residents are safe and secure.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a vocational school of practical nursing.
  • One to two years of experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and the Internet.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current Nurse License.
