Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document both objective and subjective patient data.
- Contribute health observations to nursing assessments and communicate findings to the RN or authorized healthcare provider.
- Execute the nursing care plan as directed by the RN or authorized provider.
- Document and communicate patient responses to care plans, including monitoring for adverse reactions and conducting routine lab tests.
- Assist in revising nursing care plans as necessary.
- Provide education and information to patients and their families.
- Engage in ongoing professional development within the nursing field.
- Participate positively in the orientation of new staff members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Current Ohio LPN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Work Environment:
This role requires critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently. Candidates must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
Physical Requirements:
The position necessitates full body mobility to assist and lift patients, along with manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination. It involves prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting. Candidates should have corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
Physical demands exceed those typical for light work, requiring the ability to exert varying levels of force to move objects.
