Responsibilities

  • Currently eligible for a sign-on bonus
The Cardiac Catheterization RN is responsible for delivering direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations, addressing psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.

Key Qualities:

* Communicates continuously with physicians regarding patient conditions
* Assists in maintaining equipment and inventory
* Assesses procedure room and equipment readiness
* Obtains necessary supplies for individual cases
* Monitors physiological and hemodynamic data during procedures
* Continuously records patients' conditions while in the cardiovascular lab
* Participates in performance improvement and quality enhancement activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN), preferred
* Active Texas state Registered Nursing (RN) license, required
* Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and must maintain
* Current ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and must maintain
* Current Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification, preferred
* Minimum of one (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Critical Care area, required.
