Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Ryder in Orlando, Florida. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections
  • Replace defective components and perform facility maintenance duties
  • Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
Benefits
  • Average weekly pay: $1100
  • Hourly pay: $27.00 per hour
  • Quarterly bonus: up to $500 every quarter
  • Sign-on bonus: $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
  • Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off benefits
  • 12 weeks of paid maternity leave
  • Additional day off for U.S. military veterans
  • 401(k) company match and stock options
